I watched this young man grow up.. late 80,s early 90’s I met his family through his aunt Dina while trying to get into the music business. My ex- wife and his mother became good friends even living as roommates for a time. It’s odd to hear him referred to as Dolla when he’s always been Roddy to me. He was best friends with my son from the ages of 3 to well into their late teens when Roddy’s career was beginning. When me and my wife split I used to pick him up to hang out with my son and take them to batting cages, mini golf etc… one particular weekend they were football pads the whole weekend lol… full circle moment happened when I ran into Tpain in Nashville and told him we had a mutual friend and I was able to share some of those stories… RIP Roddy aka Dolla
